If may sound corny when you hear manufacturers tout “Made In America” because we live in America. What most people may be aware of, but not necessarily think about, is how much of our everyday lives revolves around foreign made products.

If you look around, you would be surprised that almost everything you come in contact with is built overseas. Even if  it is a US company, it doesn’t necessary mean their products are made here.

Since we launched, we have been trying to highlight and feature some companies that are indeed built in the US, with American Pride. In the coming months we will publish a feature on Rigid Industries, who now employs over 250 people (over 100 more than last year). We, also, just finished a plant tour of American Force Wheels (feature to be out soon) and aFe Power. All of these companies make their stuff here. American Force Wheels are 100% domestic product. Their owners had previously owned another company that dealt with imported goods and after seeing the quality difference, they decided that they needed to change their focus and build/buy American Made Products.

We, recently, came across this really cool video that Iron Cross Automotive made this year. It is a very simple, straight forward video on why they are Built In America. They do a great job of simplifying how important it is to build and buy American made products when you can.

Check out this video and let us know what you think. Perhaps next time when you are looking for something, you might think what is the difference between the parts that you are looking at, instead of just price shopping. Most of the time, the US products are made better, with higher quality materials and will last longer. Just a little something to think about.
