If you’re driving around in a newer Cadillac, chances are you’re either doing pretty well for yourself, or have at least built the perception of wealth. But there’s a big difference between the 70-year old retiree who finally has the funds for a brand new Caddy, and the guy who takes a 556 horsepower, $75,000 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe, and nearly triples the horsepower.

This badass, blacked-out 2013 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe has a 434 cubic-inch LSx engine under the hood producing an insane 1,444 horsepower, supposedly making it the most powerful CTS-V on the planet. Can anyone prove them wrong?

The monster motor was built by SNL Performance and tuned by Karger/LSTuner.com, and sees a pair of oil-less turbochargers strapped to the big-displacement engine. A custom air-to-water intercooler keeps this high-heat setup cooled down, and the engine is topped by Mast Black Label cylinder heads and a Wilson intake manifold.

This combo is good for 1,444 horsepower at the wheels at 6,100 RPM and 1,361 pound-feet of torque at 5,200 RPM. Alas, we’re still waiting for footage of the conspicuous Cadillac running down the race track. Or maybe it was built simply to be a dyno queen? We hope not, as a car claiming to be the world’s most powerful anything needs to put at least a few runs down at the drag strip.
