Growing up around trucks, we are exposed to what they can do. We all knew a neighbor, friend or had a family member that had a truck with a built small block or big block that was just insane. They would just blow the tires off the truck at will, just because. We all probably remember the first time we took a ride and were pinned back in the seat and they hammered it. So for us, we know what trucks can do. We don’t need TV commercials showing a truck taking corners or squealing the tires. Certainly, we don’t need to hear the exhaust roar as the driver hammers it.
So, can you imagine how the owner of this Camaro ZL1 felt when he showed up to make his pass in his $55,000 plus dollar sports car. He probably had quite a few people in the pits walk up to him and talk about how great the car is. Maybe even some of them relived great memories of days gone by. So, when he lines up against this 2nd Generation Dodge, he probably had no idea that he was about to get his butt handed to him.
He does a big burn out. His adrenaline is flowing pretty good. He is probably all smiles as the light turns green. He jumps off the line well ahead of the Dodge. All is right in his world, but then all is wrong as he not only gets passed, but spanked by this 4 wheel drive beast.

The Camaro driver is probably thinking, Winning! As he pulls a full car length on the Dodge at the line.
For us diesel guys, we simply sit back, open another beer and say another bites the dust! This triple turbo Cummins is built. There is no doubt that this isn’t anywhere near a production truck, but if you didn’t know, you would think he had a stack, some drag tires and maybe some fuel. Nicely done!
With this happening at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, hopefully he didn’t bet on the race. Losing his pride is enough; it would just add insult to injury if he had to pay someone too.
