Video: My Classic Car Season 18 Kicks Off With Hot Rods In Morro Bay

Dennis Gage is no stranger to the hot rod community. Having grown up a gearhead, Gage has seen plenty of premiere car shows and museum-quality rides, including some of his own. If you don’t know Gage from his early years in the automotive world, you’d certainly recognize him from the last 17 seasons of Classic Car. A cable TV program, My Classic Car reaches thousands of viewers each week as Gage scours the country for some of the nicest hot rods to ever exist. Check out the first episode of Season 18 for the famed handle bar mustache-wearing gearhead above!

my_classic_car_season_18To kick off the 18th season of My Classic Car, Gage traveled to Morro Bay, California for the coastal city’s annual car show. Kicking off its 17th year, the Morro Bay Car Show features classic cars from the 20s and 30s all the way up through modern performance machines. Of course, it’s the hot rods, rat rods, and classically designed vehicles that always peek our interest!

As a three day event, the Morro Bay Car Show has plenty to do for everyone–from the run up the coast and cruising unique rides on Friday to taking in all the amazing cars on display Saturday and Sunday. When Gage was there, the show featured over 500 cars from California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona.my_classic_car_season_18_3

Among some of the standouts were Chris Wilson’s ’62 Nova convertible with a twin-turbocharged 6-cylinder, Scott Robert’s ’41 Ford pickup with a Flathead V8, and Doug Hudson’s modified ’27 T-Bucket featuring an Oldsmobile Quad 4 engine. Of course, we can’t forget to mention Arthur Anderton’s ’60 Mercury Colony Park County Cruiser and Ron Adler’s ’65 VW Double Cab pickup truck, which were also super finds at the show. Tying the first episode up is some information on auto detailing tools.

Season 18 of My Classic Car kicked off just last month so you have plenty of time to catch up on what’s good in the hot rod community. If you don’t have access to the show on TV, you can also catch episodes on My Classic Car TV’s YouTube channel!my_classic_car_season_18_6
