We’re sure that by now you’ve heard that Hennessey Performance Engineering is doing some big things with the C7 Stingray, and we’re quite alright with that.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being addicted to horsepower – we’re guilty of it on every count. We last saw Hennessey’s HPE700 C7 Stingray put down 708 horsepower and 564 pound feet on their dyno in an earlier article, which really got our blood pumping. Now we get to see their HPE700 Stingray express to the asphalt just how much contempt for traction that much power gives, at Lonestar Motorsports Park in Sealy, Texas.

With the C7 Stingray already being a strong burnout contender, two of Satan’s hairdryers definitely do the trick to get those tires spinning in a heartbeat. All we’re waiting on now is to see what times this Torch Red beast puts down in the quarter mile and we’re sure all of you are as anxious as we are. Hopefully it’s not too much longer before Hennessey posts a video of one of their drivers putting the HPE700 through its paces, but for now, you can keep watching this burnout video over and over because it is such a beautiful sound.
