Grandpa’s Green Farm Truck

At first glance this truck appears to be stock but it has one modification that takes it from Grandpa’s work truck to Grandson’s cruiser.

There’s no details on the truck, however there’s plenty to see. The truck appears to basically be 100% stock with minimal modification. There’s no upgrades to chrome bumpers, grills, or anything else. This truck appears to look just like when it rolled off the assembly line. The hunter green with white accents really sets off the truck. Even the wooden bedside extenders are a neat touch, just missing a bale of hay in the back for the full effect. Screen Shot 2013-12-24 at 2.15.48 PM

This green machine is also powered by a very clean small block chevy. We can see an aftermarket intake topped with an Edelbrock carb and very little else has changed. The interior is sparse, with factory gauges and a nice khaki colored seat.

However what bumps this truck into the next category of awesome is that it’s equipped with a full air ride suspension. With a flip of a switch this truck can go from old school to new school. In one glimpse we can see the entire bottom of the bed has been cut out and the frame has been heavily notched to allow the axle to tuck up out of the way. The effect: The quarter panels are a hairs width away from touching the ground. Everything else has been cleanly hidden away, including the switches which are mounted on the dash.

If the truck was sitting in our driveway we wouldn’t change anything on it. A clean cruiser that will keep its style for years to come, whether you’re cursing the boulevard or heading to the auto parts store.
