One of our facebook fans that goes by the name Dizz Fiveonezero, sent in an interesting link to a recently uploaded YouTube video that features a Camaro Z28 and an orange cone. 

After watching this video we are quite positive that the orange cone involved had to smoke a cigarette and tweet about the experience. Inches away from being run over by a monster muscle car’s spinning and smoking tires, this orange cone’s cone-hole had to be puckering. Quick… ET cone home!

Putting aside the obvious conehead movie quotes and traffic cone jokes, we found the cone dance to be something of beauty. On par with ice skating or gymnastics, and several notches above drifting.

What we really liked about the video was the two camera angles showing the proximity of the cone to the Camaro and the effect of the brake proportioning valve or shutoff valve. The front wheels are controlled by the brake pedal while the rear wheels are allowed to rotate freely under the power of the engine.

This is truly a dance of horsepower and finesse. 

Once the driver gets too far sideways and has to turn right to go left… he bails out of the dance and takes a fish-tailing stroll down the street – smoking the entire way. If you like tire smoke… this one is for you.
