Video: Ken Block Gives Injured Soldier the Ride of a Lifetime

As Memorial Day approaches some of us may forget just what the holiday means to so many people in this great country.  Memorial Day is more than the start of summer vacation or a great day to grill out as it is a time to remember all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country and those who have had their lives changed forever while serving their country.  Taylor Morris is one of these great soldiers who was tragically injured in the Afghanistan War while serving in the United States Navy.  His life was changed forever on May 3, 2012 when an IED went off and injured the 23-year-old soldier so severely that doctors were forced to amputate all four of his limbs.  His injuries would be enough to slow many people down but not Morris.  It only took him five months before he was walking and dancing again.

Morris and his friends soon took to the internet and posted a YouTube video of him drifting his car in the snow in an attempt to get the attention of World Rally Championship driver and internet sensation Ken Block.  The video worked and he got an invite from Block to ride along in his rally car as he hot lapped it on the dirt down some very tight wooded roads.  Block did not hold back at all as he blasted through the woods giving Morris a ride he won’t soon forget.  Block was even able to make his prosthetic legs fall off as he got on the brakes for the first time to make a hard corner.  As you enjoy this inspirational video take the time to remember brave Americans like Taylor Morris who gave so much so we can enjoy our way of life this Memorial Day.  For more on Taylor Morris and his story check out www.taylormorris.org.
