Video: Pontiac GTO Turned Lambo…Seriously?

We get it: Lamborghinis are rare, fast, beautiful, and very expensive. Everybody wants one, but not everyone can afford one. Unfortunately, this leads many people to take matters into their own hands by creating a replica based on another car.,usually from something like a Pontiac Fiero.

GTO owners will be quick to recognize these gauges.

However, there’s a company that’s quickly getting a reputation all over the internet as one that builds some of the most creative vehicles, and they’re known as A & M. Recently they have just assembled an Aventador based on a late-model GTO platform, interestingly enough.

Judging by the gauges and the information provided in the eBay ad, it was an Impulse Blue 2004 model and its LS1 has been modified to produce 400 horsepower. The “Lambo” still shifts through  6-speed.

The motor was moved to the middle of the platform to be true to the Italian car in which it’s meant to mimic, and the body has been completely modified to imitate that of the Aventador. We’re not convinced, sadly.

The GTO’s V-body proportions are too far out of whack for this car to fool even the ditziest of the girls you would try to pick up with this thing, and no real car buff will take it seriously.

Granted, it’s obviously a lot of work to build such a monster, but we would have rather done a few subtle cosmetic modifications on a normal GTO. It would have looked better overall, and nobody would make fun of you. If you want to take a chance, you can bid on this Pontiac Aventador on eBay.
