RZR Factory Racing Dominates 2025 Baja 500 With Historic UTV Sweep

Desert domination doesn’t get much better than this. The Polaris RZR Factory Racing team made history at the 2025 SCORE Baja 500, crushing the brutal 461-mile course and sweeping the UTV podium with a historic 1-2-3 finish.

Brock Heger: 7 Straight Wins and Counting

Baja veteran Brock Heger is officially in beast mode, showing once again why he’s the guy everyone’s chasing. Behind the wheel of his Polaris RZR Pro R Factory, Heger led the charge from start to finish, tearing through the treacherous desert terrain and claiming his seventh consecutive UTV overall win. Not only did he dominate his class, but he also finished eighth overall out of all four-wheel vehicles. That’s right—he was mixing it up with the trucks.

This win marks a rare Baja 500 three-peat for Heger and the RZR Factory squad, stamping their authority on one of off-road racing’s most iconic events.

“Everything just clicked out there today,” said Heger. “Keeping the win streak alive is pretty awesome, and being part of this historic 1-2-3 finish makes it even more special. The RZR Pro R Factory was an absolute beast—handling every mile of the course without missing a beat, even through the roughest sections. The entire team puts in so much work behind the scenes, and it’s showing every time we line up. I’m incredibly grateful for everyone’s dedication and effort.”

Cayden MacCachren & Ethan Groom Round Out the Sweep

Cayden MacCachren wasn’t about to let Heger have all the fun. Starting 12th on the grid, he charged hard all day long in his RZR Pro R Factory and clawed his way up to the second overall UTV after penalties assessed to the #1831 car reshuffled the standings. His relentless pace and precision driving helped secure the factory team’s 1-2 punch.

Meanwhile, Ethan Groom—paired with moto champ-turned-UTV-wheelman Justin Morgan—battled from 14th off the line to a strong third-place finish. Groom put in a monster first half of the race, handing off to Morgan, who brought it home smooth and steady. Despite some post-race speed and virtual checkpoint (VCP) penalties, the duo landed solidly on the podium to complete the first-ever UTV class podium sweep for Polaris.

Total Control, Maximum Power: The RZR Pro R Factory Advantage

What made this performance at the 2025 Baja 500 so epic? The Polaris RZR Pro R Factory platform is proving to be the weapon of choice for serious desert warfare. Designed specifically for grueling races like Baja, it delivers raw power, unmatched control, and relentless durability over hundreds of miles of rock, silt, and whoops.

“Days like today feel completely surreal,” said Alex Scheuerell, Director of Off-Road Motorsports, Polaris. “I’m constantly in awe of what this team and these drivers are capable of; continuously raising the bar for themselves and the competition. To not only come away with another dominant win, but to sweep the UTV Overall podium for the first time is just incredible. This finishing order is a powerful proof point of the RZR Pro R Factory platform and its unmatched power, strength, and control. A huge thank you to the entire RZR engineering team and everyone at SCI who work tirelessly to build these machines and make results like this possible.”

Beyond The 2025 Baja 500 Checkered Flag

Just before Baja, Heger was featured on CBS Mornings in a segment called the Limits, giving fans a look at his journey from a farm kid in El Centro, CA, to one of off-road’s fiercest competitors. It’s the kind of spotlight that brings more attention to the sport we love—and the perfect setup for a weekend of pure racing glory.

What’s Next For The RZR Factory Team: Vegas to Reno

With Baja in the rearview, the Polaris team now sets its sights on the only race they haven’t yet conquered: Best in the Desert’s Vegas to Reno, happening August 13–16. You better believe they’re coming in hot, with history on their side and momentum at full tilt.
