There’s no denying the fact that vehicles have gotten expensive. The average transaction price of a new vehicle in February 2025 was a staggering $48,039. This is up from $33,560 just ten years prior. And if it’s a Jeep that you’re longing for, the news is far less glamorous. Prices for Jeep-brand vehicles have risen more than 60 percent since 2018, while, at the same time, sales of the popular off-roaders have fallen more than 30 percent. While neither of these are an ideal scenario for Jeep’s parent company, Stellantis, the result is some pretty decent deals for customers seeking a Wrangler 4xe—if they know where to look.
We recently stumbled upon what might be the best lease deal on a 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe offered to date: just $198 per month (before tax and fees) on a four-door Willys. Of course, there are quite a few qualifications, chief among them being the need to be a resident of Colorado.
How Do I Get A Cheap Jeep Wrangler 4xe?
Getting to this price point takes a fair bit of mathematical gymnastics on the company’s part. The Wrangler 4xe starts with a base price of $61,715 and then the lease deal subtracts $2,500 in “National Lease Bonus Cash” and $500 in “National Jeep Celebration Event Bonus Cash.” Then there’s the $7,500 Federal Tax Rebate that needs to be applied along with a separate $4,100 Colorado State Tax Rebate. Then, after a $1,000 down payment (or trade equity) along with tax, license, and $1,794 in additional fees, the total works out to about $230 per month. Not a bad deal, right?
Then there’s the fine print. This deal appears to only be available for very well qualified buyers with above-average credit and when financed through Stellantis Financial. Terms are a short 24-month lease with 10,000 miles per year. If you go over that mileage it’ll cost 30 cents-per-mile extra. And, of course, you’re on the hook for any excess wear. Which, if you intend to use the Wrangler as one should, there’s going to be excess wear.
And, of course, these deals are always changing. Depending on your specific city, county, or state, and any special utility company promotions, it is possible to find an even better deal. Or these inexpensive lease deals could vanish entirely tomorrow.
What About The Wrangler Rubicon? Or 392?
And then there’s fact that this deal only works on the most basic Wrangler Willys. If you want features such as LED taillamps, color matched fender flares, steel bumpers, fancy wheels, the big 12.3-inch screen, or a forward-facing camera (among other options) you’ll need to step up to a more expensive Wrangler trim. And stepping up to the Willys ’41 special edition will tack another $4,500 to the price.
There’s no getting around the fact that Wranglers are still expensive. A Rubicon X 4xe starts at more than $70,000 and if you’re lucky enough to snag a 2025 Wrangler 392 it’ll set you back more than $102,000, or $1,700 per month for 72 months. For a Wrangler. Let that sink in. So, if you’re in the market for a Wrangler and don’t care about all the fancy frills, now might be a great time to join the club. Just don’t forget your ducks.
