What were you doing when you were 19 years old? Well, Aalic Anderson was putting some serious shop time in so he could restore a 1970 Camaro with his dad. The hard work paid off, and now Aalic gets to cruise around in this killer ride.

Aalic’s father has a 1970 Camaro that he restored and still owns to this day. A lot of memories were made in and around that car, so it means a lot to Aalic. Ultimately, those good times are what inspired Aalic to find a 1970 Camaro of his own to build.

When Aalic found the Camaro, it was in pretty rough shape. There was plenty of rust and it had some body damage thanks to a meeting with a lawn mower. The quarters needed to be redone along with other areas of the body. It took about a year to get the car restored to its current state. Aalic and his dad worked on the Camaro at least three days a week to make that happen.

The 307 cubic-inch engine that was under the hood is gone. Now, the car is powered by a Blueprint Engines 383 cubic-inch stroker motor. It’s got a set of aluminum heads and a rowdy cam that makes it sound great. A set of Patriot headers feed the exhaust back to a pair of 40-Series Flowmaster mufflers. The engine works with a TH400 transmission to send power to the rear tires. For rolling stock, Aalic went with a set of wheels from WELD Racing.
