All I’m saying is just a few days ago we made a post on our Facebook page of a “fan created” drawing or photo of a Toyota pickup truck with duals and meaty tires. Some of you thought it was cool and rightfully so. Others just spewed “ItS nOt ReAl”. Obviously, this isn’t real. Or is it?

A few days ago Toyota launched a video on their YouTube channel and it has created some buzz. Titled “Engines 101: What Is Diesel?”, the video has earned almost 100,000 views and in the comment section people are demanding answers. You’re Toyota. Why are you even talking about a diesel engine?

This has sparked quite the discussion online and that makes me excited, to say the least. There have been a few pictures floating around but nothing is confirmed. This is merely opinion and coincidence. How would you feel about another 1/2, 3/4, or 1-ton option out there? What engine would they use? Would it stack up to the rest?

Come on. You can’t look at this and not kind of dig it. The rear fenders look a little wonky. They could use some work but man, a little tweaking and this could be a real contender in the looks department.

Supposedly Toyota filed a United States patent that describes a high-compression engine that may run on diesel fuel. It could be for the Tundra or the Tacoma, or perhaps both. Then both of these trucks would benefit from an improved fuel economy and more torque. Time will tell. How do you feel about it? Let us know in the comments below!
