RPM Hotrods in Warrendale, Pennsylvania is known for creating big, bad and powerful machines. One of their recent creations, an amazing ‘62 Chevy II, is no different. Lucky for us, we found a video on of the car on the dynamometer during a recent tuning. Check out the amazing results below.
Known as the “Runt,“ the Chevy II was created for long-time RPM Hotrods customer Gerry Kerna. With a Roadster Shop Chassis, Thompson Racing Ultimate LS7 engine and a Tremec 6-speed transmission, the car was built to be run, and run hard. On top of its impressive looks and even more impressive setup, the Chevy II was named the 2011 Detroit Speed Muscle Machine of the Year at the Detroit Good Guys event in early October.
Prior to the car’s dyno run in the video below, the engine was run on an engine dynamometer. The result was 658hp to the crank. Strapped to the Tremec and put in the car, the race LS7 engine pushed 537hp to the rear wheels. What can we say? We warned you that the Runt was one mean machine.
