Jeffrey Simpson from New Jersey is the grand-prize winner of the 2018 Mustang Dream Giveaway, a nationwide drawing sponsored by New Beginning Children’s Homes, which ended on March 26, 2019. The funds raised are used towards grants given to MADD, Honor Flight, Smile Network International, and the National Guard. As the winner, Simpson gets to take home a 1968 Mustang Bullitt restomod and a brand-new 2019 Mustang Bullitt Limited Edition—plus $25,000 towards the prize taxes. 

On Mustang Day, April 17,  Simpson received the news that he had won the Mustang Dream Giveaway. According to Dream Giveaway, Simpson was in disbelief when he got the call and said it will really sink in when he sees the two Bullitt’s in person.

Simpson is a mustang enthusiast and already had two Mustangs sitting in his garage before winning the Mustang Dream Giveaway –  a 1989 Mustang GT convertible and a 2018 Mustang GT.

The Mustang Dream Giveaway award ceremony is held today, May 3, in Clearwater, Florida, inside the Dream Giveaway Garage. The award ceremony will be available for viewing on Facebook and YouTube. During the award ceremony, viewers and guests will get a look at some of the other upcoming giveaway cars, including a classic Ford project. 

1968 Ford Mustang Bullitt GT

Dream Giveaways put $150,000 into restoring and upgrading the 1968 Bullitt Mustang offered as part of the giveaway. The restomod features show-quality metallic green paint expertly applied over the classic, and straight, Mustang body panels.

Under the hood, this Bullitt gets its 400 horsepower from a 390 cubic inch Ford engine fitted with dual four-barrel carbs and intake, a billet belt-drive system and accessories like Bullitt callouts on valve covers and air cleaner, modern rack-and-pinion steering and performance headers.

The car makes use of a modern five-speed manual transmission along with Ford Racing flywheel, street performance clutch, Moser Ford 9-inch rear end, and Strange axles.

Inside, the classic Bullitt features a set of redesigned bucket seats along with a Vintage Air Gen IV A/C system and a set of electronic Classic Instrument gauges.

Other highlights of the build include a Heidts steel inner fender panel kit, TCI independent front suspension kit, Ride Tech single-adjustable billet coil overs, Wildwood Dynalite Pro 4-piston brakes, Ididit tilt steering column, 15-inch American Racing Torque Thrust D wheels with Bullitt center caps and 26 x 12.00-15 Mickey Thompson Sport S/R tires.

2019 Mustang Bullitt GT

Whats a better way to compliment a classic Bullitt Mustang than with a new one? Also offered as part of the giveaway is this 2019 Mustang Bullitt GT. The car comes with all the options available on the Mustang GT Premium with added highlights like Brembo six-piston front brakes, a larger rear anti-roll bar, and an oversized radiator.

The car comes powered by a 480hp fuel-injected V8 engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The engine sports a high-flowing intake borrowed from the Shelby GT350, open air-filter element, larger throttle bodies and powertrain control module recalibration.

Dream Giveaway had the Bullitt optioned with the Bullitt Technology Package and Magneride Damping System, totaling $3,800 worth of factory upgrades. They also installed a variety of Ford Performance parts, including a short-throw shifter, lowering springs and Bullitt-proof half shafts. Inside it features a pair of Recaro sport seats.
