The 2018 SEMA Show gave us a glimpse at what’s new in the off-road market. While we were there, we looked at Currie Enterprises and its new RockJock axles for the Jeep Wrangler JL. John Currie was there to give us the scoop on these axles and what they can offer a purpose-built Jeep.
“Our RockJock 60 and 70 axles are coming to the JL, and are made specifically to fit the JL,” said Currie. “These aren’t just something we grabbed from an old design and adapted. We went over, through, and under the JL to make sure these fit perfectly.”
Currie's booth highlighted its new JL products, chief among them the new RockJock axle housings.
The RockJocks, as Currie explained, are made in multiple bolt patterns, so customers can expect a six or eight-lug RockJock to be available for install, in addition to the standard five-lug. “We’ll have these axles ready to buy online, or you can call us and have them custom-made to your liking,” offered Currie. “We can change up the locker, the gear ratio, the overall width of the housing, and we can even accommodate custom powder coating.”
And that’s not all. Currie will also send the housing as a standalone, or have tie rods and drag link included. “It’s totally bolt-in and plug-and-play,” said Currie. “All of your sensors will plug in and everything works like it does with a factory front end.”
Stout, striking, and ready for adventure, the new RockJocks for JLs will easily top a new Wrangler owner’s Christmas wish list. We encourage you to find out more about Currie Enterprises on its website and Facebook page.
